Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with Rappel. This policy explains when refunds are available, how they are calculated, and how to request one. It applies to rappelhq.com and all of its subdomains (including app.rappelhq.com).

Annual plan refunds
Eligible for a prorated refund based on unused full months remaining when you cancel.
Monthly plan cancellations
No refund issued. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Annual Plan Refunds
If you are on an annual subscription and choose to cancel, you are eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion of your plan — calculated on a per-month basis.
You may cancel at any time. There is no lock-in period. Refunds are calculated from the date your cancellation is processed, not from when you submitted the request.
The refund covers complete unused calendar months only. Partial months already started are not refunded. For example, if you have 4 complete months remaining when you cancel, you will receive a refund for 4 months of the equivalent monthly value (calculated from your annual rate).
How Proration Works
Your annual plan is effectively equivalent to paying a fixed monthly rate at a discounted price. When you cancel, the refund is calculated as:

Monthly rate = plan's standard monthly price
Months charged = ceil(months used)
Refund = Amount paid − (Monthly rate × Months charged)
Example: The Growth plan is $79/mo monthly or $708/year (annual discount). You pay $708 upfront. You cancel after 7 months and 10 days of use — that rounds up to 8 months charged at the standard monthly rate.
Months charged = ceil(7.33) = 8
Cost for 8 months = $79 × 8 = $632
Refund = $708 − $632 = $76
Refunds are issued in the same currency and to the same payment method as the original charge. If the original payment method is no longer available, we will arrange an alternative with you.
Monthly Plans
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel a monthly plan:
- Your subscription is cancelled immediately
- You retain full access until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
- No refund is issued for the current month
You can cancel at any time through your account settings under Settings → Billing.
Free Trial
If you cancel during a free trial period, no charge will be made and no refund is applicable. Your account will revert to a free/inactive state at the end of the trial.
If you were charged after the trial period ended and believe this was in error, please contact us within 7 days for a full review.
Exceptions
Refunds may be issued outside of this policy at our discretion in the following circumstances:
- Service failure. If Rappel experiences an outage or data loss that materially impacts your ability to use the platform for an extended period, we will assess compensation or refund on a case-by-case basis.
- Billing errors. If you were charged incorrectly (e.g. duplicate charge, wrong plan), we will correct the error and issue a full refund for the erroneous amount.
- Legal requirements. In jurisdictions where mandatory consumer protection laws provide additional refund rights (e.g. EU 14-day cooling-off period for digital services), those rights apply. Contact us if you believe you qualify.
We do not issue refunds for:
- Unused features or integrations that were available but not used
- Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
- Requests submitted more than 60 days after the charge date
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Cancel your subscription in Settings → Billing within your Rappel dashboard. This is required before a refund can be processed.
- Email our billing team at billing@rappelhq.com with the subject line: “Refund Request — [your account email]”.
- Include: your account email, cancellation date, and reason for cancellation (optional, but helps us improve).
We will confirm receipt and process your refund within 3–5 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.
Refund Timeline
Once approved, refunds are processed within 3–5 business days. The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider:
- Credit/debit cards: 5–10 business days
- Bank transfers: up to 10 business days
If you do not receive your refund within 10 business days of our confirmation, please contact us and we will investigate with our payment provider directly.
Policy Updates
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top. For material changes, we will additionally display a notice on our website or in the app before the changes take effect — so please check this page periodically.
